Rally to protect Social Security and Medicare

Battleground NY sponsored a Save Social Security and Medicare Rally, along with CCoHope Indivisible, Take 17, CWA (Communications Workers of America), Northern Westchester Indivisible, and Putnam Progressives.
It was a lively rally with appearances by Sen. Pete Harckham, Westchester County Legislator, Colin Smith, and the satirical “Billionaires for Wealth-care”. One of the speakers was Dee, a 101 year old woman who spoke about life before Social Security and Medicare.
The speakers called attention to the threats to Social Security and Medicare posed by Republicans in Congress, Donald Trump, and the special interest groups that support them.
